PORT ALBERNI - The Dry Creek Improvement Project in Port Alberni is complete, thanks to over $2.7 million in funding split equally between the Government of Canada’s Building Canada Fund Communities Component, the Province, and the City of Port Alberni.

The City of Port Alberni is pleased to announce the hiring of Krista Tremblay as the new Manager of Human Resources.
Tremblay, who is originally from Port Alberni, comes to the City following a 16-year career with Catalyst Paper - Port Alberni Division, serving most recently as manager of human resources for the past 6 years.

Community Futures Alberni – Clayoquot and Venture Connect present a succession planning workshop on Tuesday, March 8th 6:00-7:00pm. The Alberni Clayoquot Regional District is honoured to announce the 2017 Islands Agriculture Show will be held in the Alberni Valley. The trade show and conference will be held February 3rd & 4th at Port Alberni’s Glenwood Centre and Fall Fair Exhibition Grounds.
This will mark the first time that West Coast seafood producers will be showcased in the event.
Council for the City of Port Alberni is pleased to announce the City is purchasing the former Esso fuel station property at 3000 Harbour Road. The property is adjacent to the City-owned properties at Harbour Quay and the Port Alberni Port Alberni Port Authority’s Harbour Quay Marina.
The property purchase supports Council’s strategic priorities regarding waterfront redevelopment and public waterfront access. In addition, this property was specifically targeted in the 2007 Port Alberni Uptown and Waterfront Redevelopment Study.
