NOTE: For all Building and Land Use applications the City of Port Alberni requires that you submit, with your application, a current (within 30 days) Land Title search for ALL properties and legal parcels affected by your application. 

Schedule a meeting with the Manager of Planning or the Building Inspector to discuss your project. Please email for an appointment at developmentservices@portalberni.ca.  During your meeting obtain advice about which application forms are relevant to your project.  

When you submit your application forms they must be complete and include all information, required signatures, fees and necessary attachments.  Most of the forms are fillable but must be printed and signed by all parties prior to submission.  This will ensure your application is processed in a timely manner.  If you are not sure which application is appropriate for your needs please contact the Manager of Planning using the information at the bottom of this page.
