Canada Post Mail Strike – Property Taxes

The City would like to inform all residents and businesses that if mail delivery is interrupted or delayed by a mail strike, the business of the City continues and customers are still required to pay their City Hall bills on time.

Property taxes are due Monday, July 4, 2016.  Post marks will not be considered as date of payment, your payment and Home Owner Grant must be received by the Finance Department by July 4, 2016. You may claim your 2016 Northern & Rural Home Owner Grant online via our website. Be sure to have your folio and access numbers from your tax notice. 

The following payment options are recommended:

  • In person at City Hall (4850 Argyle Street) between 8:30am and and 4:30pm.
  • Use our mail drop box conveniently located to the right of the main entrance of City Hall.
  • Any Canadian chartered bank or credit union can accept payments on our behalf either in person or via telephone or online banking services.
