City Hires New Deputy City Clerk
PORT ALBERNI, British Columbia, Canada – The City of Port Alberni has hired Twyla Slonski as Deputy City Clerk for the City.
Ms. Slonski brings a wealth of experience to this new position having previously worked in the role of Deputy Corporate Administrator for the Town of Qualicum Beach, as well as in the roles of Director of Corporate Administration and Chief Administrative Officer for the District of Lantzville. Most recently she worked for the Town of Comox in the role of Executive Coordinator. Ms. Slonski holds an Intermediate Certificate in Local Government Administration and is committed to ongoing professional and personal development.

In this role, Ms. Slonski will work closely with the City Clerk in all tasks related to the statutory duties and responsibilities of corporate administration and will be responsible for providing administrative and organizational support to Council, its Committees and to the Clerk’s department generally.
Ms. Slonski will assume her new role on September 30, 2019.
