Book of Condolences for Councillor and Former Mayor John Douglas

Port Alberni, BC – The City is deeply saddened by the passing of John Douglas, City Councillor and former mayor, as announced earlier today. Anyone who wishes to pay their respects can visit City Hall starting Monday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, where a book of condolences will be available for signing. Council Chambers will be open to the public for those who would like to stop in, gather and honour his passing.

Please note that the family is asking for privacy at this time.

In addition, if anyone wishes to drop off flowers or a card they can do so at City Hall during business hours from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The City will ensure all items are delivered to the family.
