Parks, Recreation & Heritage Phone and Email Disruption

The Parks, Recreation and Heritage Department has been experiencing technical issues with their phone system. We are working to fix the problem, however this will require a temporary disconnection of the phone and computer systems on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 8:00am until 5:00pm. This means the phone and email systems at Echo Centre will not be in service and City staff at that facility will not be able to process program registrations, bookings and other specific recreation services. These systems will be back up and fully operational on Saturday, April 29th and the public is encouraged to contact Echo Centre then at 250-723-2181 for service and assistance.

Please note that Echo Centre, including the Aquatic Centre, Alberni Valley Museum and Vancouver Island Regional Library will be open to the public during this time.    

The main City of Port Alberni phone number (250-723-2146) will be functioning as other facilities are not affected by this disruption. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
