We are embarking on an exciting project to connect the Quays pathway, linking Victoria Quay and Harbour Quay. This significant campaign, being carried out in collaboration with a renowned architectural firm from Vancouver, will be executed in three stages between 2023 and 2024.
The Harbour Quay portion will be integrated into the recently acquired Somass lands and the existing Tyee Landing boardwalk.
The northern loop at Victoria Quay will take advantage of existing infrastructure. It will develop into a looped pathway extending from Victoria Quay along Roger Creek, leading to the future Roger Creek Connector trail.
In the final phase, the Roger Creek Connector Trail will be established. This will provide a direct link between Roger Creek Park and the newly created Scott Kenney Trail.
At the January 22, 2024 Council meeting, Council approved $1,253,411 in funding from the Growing Communities Fund in the 2024-2028 Financial Plan to complete the third and final phase of the Connect the Quays Pathway along Dry Creek and Roger Creek.
