City of Port Alberni receives $50,875 from BikeBC

The City is pleased to announce the award of a $50,875 BikeBC grant from the Provincial Government. The funds will support the installation of painted bike lanes along major routes within the city. This will improve safety for cyclists and drivers and enhance our growing network of cycling trails and infrastructure. The project is a key part of the City’s Active Transportation Plan and commitment to sustainability.

Bike lane painting is scheduled to commence in August along 10th Avenue, Roger Street, 3rd Avenue, Gertrude Street, and Stamp Avenue. Further details regarding today's announcement are available via the Ministry's media release available here.
